Jan-Michelle Sawyer specializes in creating traditional and contemporary sculptures in bronze.
With a Ph.D. in Humanities, Jan-Michelle Sawyer's career has been as an educator. Primarily self-taught, her profession as a sculptor has been influenced by a philosophy embedded in education that every sculpture should inform, educate and inspire the viewer.
As a Kama’aina Jan-Michelle’s love of Hawaii has been an integral inspiration to her in becoming a sculptor. Dividing her time primarily between Hawaii and California clients, Jan-Michelle’s studio is nestled among the beautiful pine trees in the Sierra Foothills.
